Motivation

Things are at a stand still here. I'm not motivated to do anything. There are many ideas in my head but no energy to start any of them. Christmas is making me feel anxious.

I'm just wondering if anyone else feels this way? Do you need a rest after you've finished a big project? I had a whole day of rest today. I did absolutely nothing.

I did think of some new projects, but the thought of beginning any of them was just too much. Maybe I ate too much turkey and pie? Maybe I'll go eat some more.

Perhaps tomorrow will be more productive? We shall see...
I'm going back to bed.

LOL Kathi, it must have been all of that heavy lifting on your last project. I love the new blog header with the photo of the gigantic project that you just finished! It really turned out well! Rest for the weekend and start anew on Monday. I seem to remember a beach house and a Hurricane house that would love some attention.......

Hi Kathi, I need a rest after I finish bashing a furniture, not to mention a whole house :). Come back to it only when you are motivated or inspired. You'll be able to do so much more :)

Not to worry. Isn't it nice though that you don't have to start any projects if you choose not to? Its a pretty sure bet that something will inspire you soon enough.

It's no big deal, Kathi. Just enjoy your rest period. You've been working so hard for so long. Just do what you feel like doing, like maybe reading a good Christmas novel, watching Christmas movies, going for walks with your pets, or even eating more turkey and pie!

Be motivated by how much you have motivated me today! I am a new reader, and I just snagged a beautiful free dollhouse for my daughter. I can't wait to rehab it.

I just linked to your blog on my first post about the house.

Thanks for all the great ideas!

Hi Kathi - got to agree with you - lacking motivation here also :(
I got excited about Christmas, started creating and haven't finished anything - and still haven't finished making my Christmas cards !
Oh well.. maybe next week ;-) Hope you find the urge again soon

Oh Kathi, it's okay to take a break. You are one of the most productive, prolific miniaturists out there. Sometimes it's good to step away for a little bit. Just focus on enjoying the season. You'll know when you are ready to dig in again!
Hugs,
Jill
PS: I love your playlist!
